If you use OS/2 and you need a JVM to run Polarbar, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this page.
First time Polarbar users should read the readme.txt file, which has important information regarding first time installation of Polarbar. This file is also included in the Polarbar installer and is automatically extracted into your installation directory by the installer.
Note: The pages that the following Polarbar Installer links take you to may attempt to download and install a platform specific installation helper for your browser. The helper application is convenient, in that it automatically downloads the correct installer for your platform when you click on the "start installer" button and automatically starts the installation when the download is completed. But there is no requirement that you use the helper application and you may safely decline it in favor of using your normal download procedure.

OS/2 Users that don't have a JVM installed can obtain IBM's current international JRE 1.1.8 version for OS/2 in a self-extracting archive. To install it, simply run os2jre.exe in the directory of your choice. The self-extracting archive will create a new directory structure with the name jre11. Then use the full pathname to the JRE or JREPM executable file when you run Polarbar. For example, if you extract the JRE into the C:\Polarbar directory, then the PM startup command would be:
C:\Polarbar\jre11\bin\jrepm -cp .;polarbar.zip org.polarbar.mailer
If you have any problems with the InstallAnywhere Now installer for Polarbar, please send email to polarbar@jsd-llc.com with a detailed description of the problem you encountered.
